Refund Policy.

We prefer to invoice after delivery — so you only pay for work you've seen.

Our Approach: Pay After, Where We Can

For services and intelligence reports, we strongly prefer to invoice you after delivery — meaning you review the work before a payment is processed. This eliminates the need for a refund in most cases because you never pay for something you haven't already approved.

To set up pay-after invoicing for any service or report, simply contact us before placing your order. We'll send a secure invoice once delivery is confirmed.

For digital products (books and downloadable guides), payment is required upfront because access is granted immediately upon purchase. These are subject to the terms below.

15% Processing & Administrative Fee on Prepaid Refunds

Any refund on a prepaid order is subject to a 15% processing and administrative fee. You receive 85% of your purchase price back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

This fee is non-negotiable and non-waivable. It covers costs we cannot recover once a transaction is processed: payment processor charges, intake time, delivery infrastructure, and administrative handling. These costs exist regardless of the reason for the refund request.

Example: A $499 Starter Core package → you receive back $424.15. A $49 Readiness Audit → you receive back $41.65. A $16.18 AEO Book → you receive back $13.75.

1. Digital Products (Books & Downloads)

Window: 30 days from purchase date.

Digital products are delivered instantly upon purchase, which is why prepayment is required. If you are not satisfied with the content within 30 days of purchase, contact us and we will issue an 85% refund — the 15% processing fee is retained.

Applies to:

  • Answer Engine Optimization: The Complete Guide ($16.18)
  • Reduce Risk, Cover Your Buttx ($3.33)
  • Any other digital books, guides, or downloadable tools

Important: Refund eligibility applies to the order as a single transaction. Bulk orders of the same product are treated as one order — they are not eligible for per-unit partial refunds. If you ordered multiple copies and wish to return, the 85% is calculated on the total amount paid for that transaction.

2. Intelligence Reports (Audits & Analysis)

Preferred payment method: Invoice after delivery. Contact us before purchasing and we will deliver first, invoice after.

If you choose to prepay:

  • Before work begins: 85% refund available (15% processing fee retained).
  • After report is delivered: Non-refundable. Custom analysis work is performed specifically for your domain and cannot be resold or recovered.

  • AEO Readiness Audit ($49)
  • GIST Algorithm AEO Analyzer ($149)
  • Gap Analysis Report ($59)
  • Custom Intelligence Reports (custom pricing)

3. Implementation Packages (Starter & Professional)

Preferred payment method: Invoice after delivery milestones. We structure large projects in milestones and invoice after each one is completed and verified by you.

If you choose to prepay:

  • Before work begins: 85% refund available (15% processing fee retained).
  • After project completion: If no measurable technical improvements are demonstrated within 30 days, you are eligible for an 85% refund (15% processing fee retained).

"Measurable technical improvements" includes any of the following:

  • Successful schema markup implementation verified by testing tools
  • Improved AI crawler accessibility confirmed via server logs
  • Enhanced structured data coverage (more schema types implemented)
  • Verified indexing or citation by at least one AI engine

Applies to:

  • Starter Core ($499, up to 10 pages)
  • Professional ($1,299, up to 30 pages)

All implementation packages include a 30-day verification period during which we monitor results and make adjustments at no additional cost.

4. Enterprise Implementations

Enterprise engagements are always invoiced after delivery milestones — no prepayment required. Cancellation and payment terms are defined per-contract.

  • Before implementation starts: No charge if invoiced post-delivery. For any prepaid deposit: 85% refund (15% processing fee retained).
  • After implementation begins: Non-refundable for completed milestones. Unstarted scope may be cancelled without charge.
  • Partial refunds: Considered case-by-case if agreed scope was not delivered. Any approved partial refund is subject to the 15% processing fee.

  • Enterprise ($2,499+, up to 100 pages)
  • Platform Migration (from $999)
  • Custom projects

5. How to Request a Refund

  2. Include your name, the email address used for purchase, and the product or service you'd like refunded.
  3. We'll respond within 1–2 business days to confirm eligibility and initiate the refund.
  4. Processing: 85% of the purchase price is returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

6. Cancellations

  • Pay-after orders: Cancel any time before you receive and approve the invoice — no charge.
  • Prepaid, before work begins: 85% refund (15% processing fee retained).
  • Prepaid, during delivery: Contact us to discuss options. We will refund the value of any unstarted work, less the 15% processing fee.
  • After delivery: Eligible per the terms above for each product or service type.
